![]() In 2016, Seton Hall and Hackensack Meridian Health signed a long-term lease agreement for a new health and medical sciences campus consisting of 16 acres and two state-of-the-art buildings on the former Hoffmann-La Roche biomedical campus in Nutley and Clifton, New Jersey. The only private school of medicine in the state, the school is expected to provide a significant economic boost to the region and help curb the critical physician shortage that New Jersey and the nation currently face. The Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine has officially become an independent medical school, capping a three-year process that initially saw it partner with Seton Hall University, according to Hackensack Meridian Health.
